How to Apply Online
THE ONLINE lottery APPLICATION for the 2025 school year IS NOW closed.
Parents will have a 3-week window of opportunity to apply, from 9:00 am on January 29 to 4:00 pm on February 16, 2024. See instructions below.
The kindergarten online lottery allows parents and guardians to register children entering kindergarten in five district-wide programs:
Please note: Kindergarten at the Montessori Program at Latimer Road will not be available in September 2025. Please choose Mountainview or Douglas.
How to Apply
- Beginning Monday, January 10, 2025 parents will register their child/children online for their local catchment school prior to applying for a seat in the Kindergarten lottery.
- Online applications for the Kindergarten Lottery open Monday, January 27, 2025 @ 9:00 am.
- Parents apply by entering their details, their child's details (one application per child), and their preferred program/school choices (up to a maximum of three - listed in order of preference). Submit your application by the deadline of February 14, 2025 @ 4:00 pm.
- Once the online application period has closed, a random lottery draw will begin starting the week of February 21, 2025, indicating whether or not the lottery was successful for their child/children.
- Successful applicants will be allocated a place in a Kindergarten Lottery Programs school, and their registration package will be forwarded to the school. All other applicants will be placed on a waitlist.
- Program seats are filled until all available places have been allocated. Waitlisted applicants may remain on the waitlist until a place becomes available. If a student drops out of a program before or during the program, the next applicant on the waitlist will be contacted.
